Time stands still in the French town of Valbonne

France has always been a favorite vacation destination and regular holidays in southern France during my childhood always brings back fond memories of picturesque towns full of character and some of the best cakes that a child could want!

However, just where the best places in the south of France, and what can be expected in the region?

Valbonne is a small town near Nice in southeastern France, village built in the sixteenth century set in a grid with two main avenues and ten streets that cross the streets of ten with the focal point of a large square in the center which is surrounded by restaurants, shops and antique shops.

The cobbled streets are in agreement with pastel houses closed for the night, light yellow light gives people a night glow, which creates an amazing land, welcoming environment for the people.

The village is near the high-class city of Cannes, venue of the location of the rich and famous, and the Cannes Film Festival – one of the oldest film festivals and prestigious.

Short car is the town of Grasse, the center of the French perfume industry and the world capital of perfume.

A little further north, but still within driving distance is the Verdon Gorge, a spectacular river canyon and the world's second gorge was carved by the river Verdon, who was appointed by distinctive turquoise-green.

The area is absolutely stunning and the high sides of the gorge, which reaches up to 700 feet in some areas, the region is very popular with rock climbers.
